Not as good
We thought it was awsome, but when we arrived it was very windy, hot and the beach was not the blue perfect color.
Never again
This place is not far from the beach which was nice. The negative were my breaker box kept blowing out of 30 amp hook up. The mosquitoes would eat you alive. And the Internet connection was below poor. No sewer hook up. And the people that work here not very friendly
basic but beautiful
Mustang Island State Park is pretty bare bones in terms of amenities (the rv lot is basically a big strip of asphalt with picnic tables tucked in at even intervals), but the beautiful sea coast and miles of dunes and grass are all the amenity you really need. I stayed during the week when the campground was half full and it was very quiet and peaceful. Staff is friendly and seem to like their jobs. I'm a big fan generally of the Texas State Parks system and this park is no exception.
Basic amenities
Bathrooms limited and dirty. No shade. Close quarters. Nice staff.
Most awesome!
Loved this park! Very small and pretty much right on the beach. Our sprint 3g stick worked well, but then became sketchy, so not the greatest. The beach was awesome and we had beach fires. Friendly people. Bathrooms were ok for a state park. No laundry, but there was a laundry place down the street. Great surfing for the kids to learn although the beach was covered in seaweed, etc. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed here for a week with our pop up and three kids.
