The park needs some management that will lift the park to a better quality. There had been a lot of rain and the paths were not even, so a lot of puddles in the road to the site. Site was cramped.
There are a lot of internet hotspots made available, but even those tended to stop once in a while.
Shower water is warm, but are not well maintained. Hardly a good entry for a person in a wheelchair.
Only 2 of the 5 showers worked (genders share these showers). The restrooms were pretty clean.
We stayed during the easter weekend and there seemed to be easter egg surch for the children. A lot of long term stayers are on the park.
Plus for the park is that it is remarkably easy to take the bus (180) across the street and use the light rail to downtown. Within the hour and only $8.50 later we ended up in the middle of Seattle, which was great.
If the looks of the park were a little bit better I would have given 3 stars.
The park is loaded with long stayers (schoolbus stops on park). Not bad, but we see in some places decorations that don't fit the campground. Some campers have seen the better days.
Park has a convenient backdoor to the outlet.
Pool was not open due to bad weather, but seemed ok.
Restrooms are not big, but all is in place and is maintained well and looks clean.
The campground is very close to I-5 and one hears the cars/trucks all day.
Price based upon 26ft (two nights @ $84) full hook up.
This is truly an amazing park. Lots to do on the park and using the shuttle bus, one gets soon near the casino and restraurants.
The restrooms are more private bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink in one room. All very clean.
Front office desk is very kind.
This is a good value for the price.
Stayed two nights with 26ft motorhome on 60ft site.
Late arrivers (or sunday afternoon) will have to decide which site to take based upon envelopes that are available.
At this moment of time (begin april), a lot of trees and bushes have been cut to clear the view (or they were just taking to much space).
The restrooms look clean (so opposite review of july 2015). Showers are token operated (not handy if the office is closed and phone is not answered).
The wifi is very good (we had site B8). The login code was not mentioned in one of the envelops that were available (we did not make a reservation). By coinsidence a person walked on the park and knew the code.
Minor detail cable tv should give 60 channels. Our tv found 47, but it was raining badly! Due to the weather there was a lot of snow/noise on tv which is not to be expected when using the cable.
There is an impressive amount of washing machines in the laundy ($1.25 per time).
Very nicely located next to 199.
Campground has been changed to a new owner, I think, as the name has been changed to Redwood Meadows RV Resort.
Price is for motorhome with 30amphs.
Places are flat, big and have picknick spot with firepit. Restrooms are without mirrors, electricity and are not that clean. Wood for the firepit can be bought for $10 which takes you well into the night to get it all burned. Showers are coin operated.
The WiFI is working, but is down from time to time.
Park is close to beach that is hard to be reached for persons in a wheelchair. The trails to the beach are very nice. The beach is not that broad but has a nice view.
If you are a fan of Harley Davidsons, this might well be the place to stay as a dealer is the neighbour of this campground. Other then that there is hardly any entertainment on this park.
The site I was on long enough to hold trailer and two smaller cars.
Restrooms are tidy although small so your clothes get easily wet when taking a shower. Accesibility for a wheelchair to the restrooms is good.
Noise may be a bit to much as this park is next to highway 101.
The harbor is on walking distance although it is not a nice walk.
Ok this campground is close to San Francisco and from the brochures one is able to go downtown with public services. However don't stay on this park to get a sun tan or something like that as there is hardly any place to do that (unless you want to sit in the middle of the street). You get only a parking lot (with no strip next to it to sit on it). The wifi doesn't work (yes, you can get a good connection in the office). Even the buy-4-one-day version is not stable.
Employees are friendly.
The price (incl tax) is high because of the groundprices, but this is a price I've not yet come accross.
Lowered the number of stars because of the price.
We arrived later in the evening after making a reservation via the phone (which was promt and adequate). It was raining and due us only staying one night we had a site up front of the park. Night entry meant that we found on the office door what our site was.
It was a grass overgrown area which was not totally levelled.
Next morning we saw a beautyfull environment and looking at the possibilities it look very good.
The restroom looked neatly maintained and nothing seemed to be broken.
We were friendly helped in the office and while taking in propane.
Definetly a stop we will take another time, although it is not that close to the 101.
Price is a bit on the high side (tax included).
It is approx 10 miles from highway 101, but well worth it. For children there is enough to do.
The place we got (without reservation arriving at 7:30) was good, wide and not all that problematic to get into. The camp has been layed out against a hill, so expect some turns and uphill walking and putting the camper away. The nature seems to be very nice and especially at this time of the year it is all very green.
Restrooms are ok (restroom 2 not available for persons in a wheelchair).
Employees helped us very friendly.
WiFi is good. There is a small camp shop with first needed groceries.
Paid 47 for full hook up (discounted from $70 due to rental van)!
We decided to take a resting day and booked another night. Cost for the second night dropped to $32 (with the discount even to $28). While doing the booking we discussed which direction we would be traveling and Joni and Marabeth at the office mentioned that Highway 1, San Francisco, was closed for an unknown period. They helped out to find more information. I'm so glad that they helped us in this way. That saved us from a lot of frustration.
Later that day we decided to walk to Santa Margarita Lake (about 15 minute walk). Joni saw us walking and asked if she could drop us of and later pick us up from the lake side. Such friendliness we have not yet encountered. Thanks for this service.
This camp really lies in a well hidden spot. Somewhat miles away from the interstate and thus hardly any noise. We had a spot with only water and electricity. The spot is made up of gravel and fairly even.
The nearby toilets (only checked the mens restroom) has seen the good days. Don't look at the details and it will not spoil your appetide.
Not being to far away from the office, the internet was not working althought it could be expected. According to the manager (or rather seemed to be the daughter of the manager) mentioned that there are spots in the park that have better connection then others.
It seems that there are some (semi)permanent stayers, but there is no complete mess around their camper.
It was possible to reserve a spot via the web (nice website by the way). One of the questions to answer on the form was if a firepit was requested. Coming from Europe, we are not accustomed to having our own firepit. I think the reason for this is the number of insects. Not to much in March, but still a nussance.
The camp seems to be a good starting point for hikes.
It must be said that the employees did their best to provide best services.
